I'm also going to bypass my clutch because i want to start my car like an automatic.

i just looked earlier this morning, honda made it real easy with the civic eh? the clutch bypass switch is right above the clutch & painted in bright yellow.

just filled it up last night for $23. only 10.9 gallons.

compare to the usually $32-36 with my 96 accord.

I didn't realize how ugly the interior got in these cars. Seems like the civics get worse and worse witch each passing year. I think the 92-95s coupes were the best looking.

    How are the interior materials?

I'm considering one but I'm still not sold on a compact

the interior is very decent for such a cheap car. It looks like someone actually spent time to make the fit & finish looks representable.

the suspension is a little stiff but that's just how i like it. it's very responsive to user input and feels great when the road gets curvy (plus it's only 2593lbs dx-5speed). great steering wheel response, very smooth engine & the drive by wire is great.

Last but not least....a 30mpg city/38mpg highway for a daily driver FTW.

it only cost me $23 to fill it up last time and it only took 10.9 gallons (compare to my accord which usually cost $32 and up)

right now i'm near 300 miles and still have plenty of fuel left. i have a feeling that it's going to get around 370miles before i have to pay $24-$25 to fill it up again.

don't let the exterior trick you. the trunk is huge. As far as safety goes.. the car have 8 airbags total (3 driver, 3 passenger, 2 rear seats) and the civic's new body design use the new "ACE" body structure which suppose to be the safest crash rating.

i got the bare minimum :wtc: which is the DX model msrp @ $14,300 + shipping/destination = $14,910

    But DX got:

    Drive by wire
    power windows
    anti lock brakes
Electronic brakes distribution (just like how LSD work but for brakes)
    8 airbags
honda maintenance minder system (based on your driving condition/engine workload, etc...it will tell you when to take your car to have it service such as oil, air filter, timing chain, etc... some people get 8,000 miles to change oil, some get 5,000.)

    daytime running lights

I have an 06 EX coupe, galaxy grey, 5 speed. Was $17,500 otd.

great little car, i've been averaging 31 mpg (ftw) mostly city.

the sunroof, 4 wheel discs, and aux input on the stereo are great extras.
