Or for those with Ford compatible systems.

We're trying to stock out my friend's 1996 Mustang and he has an aftermarket head unit. If he still has his stock tape and radio, can we just buy the CD player add on for the Mustang? (I believe it was separate from the tape player in the mustang). Or is there a stock head unit with CD player that we must buy?

Also, if we buy it off eBay without a factory code, is that something a Ford Dealership would be able to make work in a different vehicle? Thanks :bigthumb:

My guess is that the OEM model would be more expensive than buying a new aftermarket cd player.

we live in south central Los Angeles though, that's why we're stocking it out.

So aftermarket CD players will only last for a few months around where I live. Even if you take the face off when you leave the car, they will still take it out for god knows why.

it's already happened to him once and he doesn't want to be a victim again.
