I've got a 1970 mustang, trying to figure a way to hook up my pioneer p720 into it. Anyone know how big of a mess i'd be getting myself into? am i better off just taking it to a pro?

  2. Does the Mustang have dash opening for the shafts? Those are for the stock AM radio. I'm sure you're unit will fit, just need the right dash kit to 'disguise' the opening for the shafts.

You're not gonna find a wiring harness most likely so you're going to have to locate and hard wire everything:

go buy a test light or a multimeter and first find the ground, accessory, and 12v constant wires. Accessory will be the one that reads 12v only when you turn the key to "on". After that cut the rest of the wires and take them pair by pair and touch them to the ends of a battery. When you get one to pop you've found the power and ground for that speaker.
