    Arrruuggghhh....

So I'm thinking of a 16' midlength upper... Either talk me out of it, or recommend one to order here in the next two weeks....

16' is pretty long, I'd try something short, 20" tops ;)

I just ordered a midlength lightweight 16" cmmg barrel. Do you know what profile you're wanting? Denny's gun is supposed to have a good one but their customer service seemed crappy so I decided to go with sabre or cmmg.

Must... finish computer build... need mobo/cpu combo...

But the report of a AR would be soooo sweet by this time next month. ;)

Thinking of a 'keep it simple' flattop for a while

Well, see, that's where I get a little lost.

    Explain 'profiles'.

Thicker barrels take longer to heat up, take longer to cool down, and may have something of an accuracy advantage depending on the gun/barrel/etc. Lighter weight barrels heat up faster.

Most places sell a line that increases in weight like:
    light weight
    government
    medium
    heavy

Personally I wouldn't go with RRA, spend a little more on CMMG which will be an overall better upper. If you are looking for a 16" M4 or 16: midlength they are $475 through us.

What are the reviews on that Bushnell 1x32 you have listed?

I haven't heard shit about it, but it looks nice.
