As some of you are wedding photographers I was wondering if you could offer some advice on what you find to be the must have shots for a couple on their wedding day (involving them or not).

I am trying to get together a collection for our photographer so they know what to look for, but I am struggling :)

So far all my must haves involve children :)

If you can post some pictures that would be awesome as well

My photographer is a professional. I just want to get an idea of what other people consider must haves so I can see if there are any shots I like that I can go "I really MUST have one like that"

Not after shots so that my photographer has an idea of how to photograph a wedding :) They know how to do that

a professional would have a portfolio for you to go over that would have those "must have" shots.

Ahh, cool. Well I will look through their portfolio and wait until closer to have a look at any other shots they will offer.

Have to get a shot of you posting your tits on the internet with.... no just kidding.

Your photographer should have a portfolio.

I've shot one wedding, so I'm not going to bother linking mine. Here's a friend of mine who has shot ~ 15.

personally I don't do "must haves", instead I shoot the day as it happens. You never really get what you want when you are trying to duplicate something, instead let the creativity of the photographer work with you.

if you want to see a collection of great wedding shots to inspire some ideas you can work with, check out opensourcephoto forum and check out the wedding pics section
