Muscle Milk before bed?

    Casein/Caseinates in the ingrediants..

    Good/do'able for before bed?

    ..although last meal was at 9.. afraid it may be too close together.. :confused:

    has more whey in it then casein, plus the carbs. you could do it, but it's not the best choice. Ultra peptide + peanut butter or some almonds is a good choice.

    I have 2 scoops in water or milk every night at 10pm. As long as it fits into your daily allowance for calories/carbs/protein, I don't see a problem.

    I have peanut butter...thats good before bed? What else can I throw in with it? little toasted wheat breads:x:

    Casein would be a better choice like Chris mentioned, i'm using up the last of my Ultra Peptide, then i have a 2lb of ON 100% casein. My night time shake is 2 scoops casein, 16oz non fat milk, 2 tbs natty PB.
     
  7. You're gonna feel sick drinking that garbage before you go to bed. It doesn't sit well at all.

    I've got the ON casein, just not a big fan of it. Mixes weird and has a thick consistancy..

    try Xtreme Ultra Peptide, it mixes like ON Whey. It isn't "Pure" casein - it's a blend, but it has a lot more than muscle milk does.

    I've been out of cottage cheese, haven't had the chance to go get more.. :hs:

    so ordering online and waiting for it to get to your house is easier then running to publix and picking up some cottage cheese? that makes sense

    I already had it (MM). :nono:

    By the time I get home from my 85 min commute, workout, shower, take care of dogs, eat, etc I'm pushing it for time to make it to Publix.

    Off night tonight, so I'll be running to Publix later. Out of bread too.

    I advise no, I was doing something similar and started developing fat around my waist over the course of a few weeks. If you don't burn off the protein that is where it goes (on me at least).

    it gives me heartburn sometimes :(

    i love the stuff, tastes great going down..but i honestly get a weird taste in my mouth for 3 hours after I am done drinking it :hs:

    I used to have one before bed and I slept better than ever, woke up feeling ok, and had another one about an hour or two after waking up and before workouts

    Cottage Cheese doesn't last me long at all. I put more than half a huge ass tub in one protein shake.

    Ya i recently had to cut back on my protein intake as well, my bodyfat jumped up like 3%

    Same here. I have that aftertaste in my mouth all night if I drink it before bed.
