    Here you go Pur. I know you said it was possible to gain muscle while losing fat even though "science" didn't seem to agree. Well, guess what, it does agree :wiggle:

    y1997 proclaims that he gained muscle while losing fat, and his pics pretty much are a testiment to that. It seems like if you have the right diet, you can gain some... obviously though seeing as how pro's usually do bulking cycles it seems legit to say that you can gain muscle waaaayyyyy faster when not reaching a caloric deficit than you can while losing fat.

    I've gained muscle while losing fat. It's hard but possible and your gains are not nearly as good as when stuffing your face.

    it's easy to do if the subjects are untrained. let's see them do it with trained individuals.

    My point was that it's sometimes possible to do it and to motivate people to do what they have to do instead of giving up and say that they have bad genetics or something.

    He is also a teenager, right?.. IIRC there are 3 ways to do that, being a teenager, first time working out and anabolically enhanced.

    those seem to be the only situations that I've observed people on F&N or RL friends doing such things.

    i'd imagine what's possible for overweight folks may not be possible for lean folks, i've added a bunch of muscle while losing about 100pounds, but i'm guessing my lack of calories wouldn't allow much muscle growth if i was 8% body fat

    I think its possible for many others than total newbs...just miniscule gains genrally. There are also other exceptions besides anabolic use as well.
    It also depends on the time frame. Without adressing the other details of the study cited, I'm sure many of us can register fat loss with significant muscle gains in a 90 day period.
