Muscle groups once per week or twice???

    I've gotten conflicting information regarding doing muscle groups just one time per week or twice per week.

    Any opinions?

    So either completely shitstorm each group once per week or take it a little easier twice per week....:dunno:

    depends on the muscle group and what kind of routine you're doing.

    i wouldnt recommend high volume 3 times a week, for example.

    i'm doing squats 3 times a week, other things twice a week, low volume.

    i'm no expert but my trainer has me on once per week, well, twice if you count sub groups

    back & tris
    shoulders
    chest & bis
    legs

    Pretty much. I like to do an upper/ lower split where I hit muscle groups twice per week.

    Honestly, if you're allowing yourself ample time to recover then it shouldn't matter.

    The plan im on now and the one that has worked for me the best is training a muscle group 2-3 times per week, high intensity, low reps, and low volume. Training a muscle group once per week got me nowhere, even when the volume was high
