muscle glycogen

    can someone explain how muscle glycogen works? i heard of taking in majority of sugars after a workout, about 30-50g. but exactly from what foods? candy, juice, or what?


    and are their any whey proteins that offer 20g+ protein and great as an recovery drink?

    would candy be acceptable for someone whose cutting?:o
    would grape juice or orange juice do it?
    i tried muscle milk in the past:barf:

    are you kidding? I haven't tried most of the flavors but those that I tried tasted like real milkshakes :yum: I think most people agree that it's the best tasting sup out there :hs:

    well... there's worse things. You want to get the most productive calories.

    you want to avoid most super sweet stuff because most of that sugar is fructose which is used to only supply liver glycogen then the rest is stored as fat.

    so candy like starburst, skittles, gushers, fruit roll ups, gummi candies are acceptable?

    say how many gram for a 189lb bw, 20%+ bf, and currently cutting?


    *i was thinking about getting sugars from grape juice, orange juice, and/or gatorade: better idea?*

    gatorade would be your best bet. Or a postworkout shake with some sugar carbs.
