Right now I used Mother's Carnuba wax on my car (I didn't read the post about the stuff at the Harley shop - that'll be my spring time project).

I put one coat on - can I put more coats on? Would it make it look any better or would it be pretty much the same?

In my experience, multiple coats don't give any more protection than a well-applied single coat.

If you are using the cleaner wax version, then definitely not. Since it has a cleaner in it, whatever wax you just put on will be stripped. If you are using a pure wax version though, layering wax won't really give you much more protection, but they will deepen the shine and gloss. It's best to wait a day or so with carnuba based waxes since the good ones have a lot of oils in them and it takes a day or two for them to even out.
