Just interested...does such a thing exist? I've found it exceedingly difficult to find any multi-processor motherboards (I only really know of newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, and pricewatch.com for computer components).

Anybody know of anybody doing that sort of thing? I'd think the additional processing power combined with good ram and video card would be a pretty sweet machine for any purpose.

not a good idea. SMP has extra overhead, and will be slower when running applications that do not support SMP. Most games do not support it.

And you'd have to use Xeons or Opterons to use SMP, anyway.

games wont really benefit because the programs are not written to take advantage of the multi-threading capabilities of multi-processing systems.

just like the dual-core processors being released this year, they need to have software to take advantage of this capability otherwise its useless.
