I'll be taking part in a Muay Thai Smoker (fight) on Feb 23rd at the Boxing Zone in San Diego and wanted to get some impressions about smokers.

This will be my first MT smoker and am still pretty fresh with my MT (little over a year solid).

3, 2 minute rounds and i think they will be matching me with someone the same weight and height. (6,2' 170)

    What can I expect?
    Do I go 100%?
    Im a little nervous.

    i'll be there fo sho.

I can only speak from knowing what skill level some people I know were at when they did their smokers, go 100%. Not to try and make you worry, but I know some extremely good MT guys who have lost, usually won, but regardless, these guys were very good.

Are they going to pair you up with someone your same skill level?

    No real clue.

I was training last night and Scotty Dingas, the MT guy asks me in front of the whole sparring class if I was gonna put my name in -- I said sure why not.

He said "good because I already put your name in"

They did make me put down all my info plus fights i've been in with my stats.

I better start practicing my towel throwing techniques. Is it going to have to clear the top of a cage or standard set of ropes?

Checkii, it'd be fun to get you sparring too. Don't back out. I'll need all the bodies I can get.
