MTX 81000d opinion

    What is some you your opinions on the MTX 81000d, the 2002 models are going out so the 2003s can come in and the price of the 81000D has dropped $200

    Anyone have it?:bigthumb:

    amp is very awesome... i have one in my car and its very nice.. $200? thats fukin awesome price.. i paid $310 for mine and that was a steal

    no,no,no i didn't pay $200 for the amp, i got it for $200 off the original price, The total ran me about $525 with the extended warranty.

    You got one hell of a deal if you only paid $310 for the amp, It retails for over twice that amount

    How much power does that amp put out? 1kW? Thats kinda a lot of money for that kind of power in a class D design....

    you can pick them up all day long on ebay for $355....

    At 12.5 Volts
    500 Watts x 1 in a 4 ohm load with less then 2% THD
    1000 Watts x 1 in a 2 ohm load with less then 2% THD

    At 14.4 Volts
    850 Watts x 1 in a 4 ohm load
    1500 Watts x 1 in a 2 ohm load

    signal to noise ratio: 100DB A -weighted
    damping factor:>200
    Frequency Responce: 20-200 HZ >25DB

    It's a big bitch too!! 17.8 X 9.75:bowdown:

    all around awesome amp IMO.. i previously had a 6500d and then i upgraded to an 81000d... what do you have them running to? I had them running to 2 10" eclipse aluminums and it destroyed them lol

    Well, i have 3 of the MTX thunder 8000-12's, but im not sure if im gonna run two or all three of them, Im thinkin of running just two of them cause i can build a better looking set-up, where as if i used three or four 12's it would be a tight fit in my trunk and kinda difficult to make it look good without it being cramped.

    most people get 1700+wrms out of those amps and their strappable if I remember correctly.
