MSI Radeon 9800 Pro 256-bit question...

    Are THESE still bieng made? I cannot find a single one anywhere because they are out of stock. They must be damn good cards.

    I don't think they are still being made however they are still being sold. Try www.ncix.com they are a canadian company but ship to USA with no duty fee's or taxes.

    OK. I couldent find it there either.

    Why the hell would a company just stop selling them when they are selling so well? Doesent make sense.....

    A littlemore expensive than other places but at least its in stock. Ill look on E-bay but if I cant find it cheaper i might just get it. Thanks

    The reason they are hard to find because they are on the same core has the 9800XT and be overclock to a 9800XT got one befor doom 3 came out for $189 but watch out not all of them are on the same core some are on the old 9800 pro core

    They have MSI and Sapphire's at ncix which are both good brands.

    if your spending that kind of money why not get a Geforce 6600GT ?

    I was thinking about it but the only one I found in that price range is 128-bit. Would a 128 bit 6600GT be better than a 256 bit 9800PRO?

    it would work. would only be running @ the 4X bus, but that wont make a big difference.
