MSCONFIG and unecessary background programs

    I was joshin around in the MSCONFIG menu and got rid of some of the help and support programs. But what else?

    Even though I have 512mb of memory running I'd like to keep everything down to a bare minimum. I use AutoCAD and Photoshop during work so both of those running at the same time can really eat up some major memory.

    If you're using Xp, you can turn off the :greddy: eye candy.

    LOL that was the very first thing I did. When I first started my laptop and I saw XP for the time I was what the crap. It looked like a fucking disney cartoon. :big grin:

    Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, Right click Messenger, Stop. That will stop those annoying messages/boxes from popping up :big grin:
