Ok i'm just an exchange newb and have a few questions.

So we've got a pretty standard corporate exchange install. Two dell rackmount servers in a w2k cluster. Storage on our SAN. Transaction logs and databases on seperate partitions on the SAN.

I've been tasked to figure out a few recovery strategies. We're probably going to be doing full backups every night.

What i'm wondering is if say we get hit by a virus one day that totally fucks up our servers, if we can roll back the database server to the backups from the night before AND use the current transaction logs to recover all activity throughout the day, up to the infection.

can anyone shed some light on this?
