    I occasionaly run a shoutcast server on my router so I can setup a playlist on one computer and go around the house and listen to the same thing no matter where I go. :cool:

    As far as rebroadcasting the stream goes, my 486 with Debian has done up to 4 streams w/o any loss. :cool: So it isn't very processor intensive, just bandwidth intensive. :big grin:

    Other things you can look at are teh opensource IceCast, but I prefer shoutcast better.

    sweet, thanks guys. I just wish i had a better connection that my POS Cox cable. I usually get only 20-25 kb/sec on average upstream. Hope i don't have to kill the quality :(

    Pretty easy to find how much bandwidth it uses:

    bitrate*connections=total
