OK ... I gotta problem. I'm about to switch to a new computer and move my files over there. Problem is that I forgot my MSN password and I just use the MSN auto-sign in thing.

Is there a certain file I can move that will allow to keep doing this? Or will it do it automatically?

    Thanks

If you have XP on the old machine, the files and setting transfer wizard *might* do it. But wouldn't it be easier to use MSN password retrieval system so you know what it is in the future?

Don't they have any other way to do it? I don't use MSN but I've never used a system that wouldn't at least email a password like OT does.

Nope. If you've bought something from them (MSN) they'll let you use a credit card for validation, but I've never bought anything

why not save your msn list, then create a new one, and transfer everyone over?

I found a program today, to do the exat thing you are asking. I was switch from windows messenger/AIM to Trillian on my 2nd PC. I had forgot the pw and secret answer. I spent about an hour searching china websites on google, but finally found a program called MessenPass, mspass_setup.exe. Worked like a charm. I disconnected the PC from the internet (just in case it was a transmitter) and then scanned for spyware after I was done with it, and nothing bad seemed to stem from the program. Maybe you can find it as well, and it can help you out.
