Out of all of the TV and movie cars out there, my favorite has always been KITT. Go Knight Rider. :bigthumb:

I used to watch that show when I was about six or seven years old, and always loved that black Firebird. Sure enough, first car I bought on my own was a black Firebird. Granted, 4th gen, not 3rd gen, but the love is still there.

Now the real quiz, for all you Knight Rider fans, is, of course, what KITT stands for, and what the name of the "evil" white Firebird is. ;)

Do you mean KARR? Because it wasn't white. Originally it was all black, with the red scanner then got the two tone black/grey with amber scanner. :big grin:

And yes, KITT was my favorite.

In the Love Bug I think they fitted Herbie with a Porsche engine for the stuntwork.:)

The mean blue AC Cobra in the 1976 comedy The Gumball Rally, Michael Sarrazin drives the Cobra against Raul Julia in the Ferrari Daytona (a real one, unlike the car in Miami Vice).

Herbie got me thinking about dune buggies, I used to really like those at one time. In the 1970s Bud Spencer/Terence Hill comedy "Watch Out We're Mad" a dune buggy is central to the plot. It's the wrong color in the poster. In the film it's dazzling red with raised white lettering on the tires. Looks quite spectacular in the opening scenes where it's shown revolving on the showroom floor. There's also a rally scene with old European Ford Escorts/Capris, the Escort is in the poster too.
