Don't go to a movie on a first date.. You can't get to know the girl and the whole thing will just be awkward.

Try going to a coffee shop or somewhere that you can interact with the girl a bit more, get to know whether there is something there or not.

Yeah, movie for pretty much any of the first "dates" is a bad idea. It's not romantic, you cannot talk and flirt or joke, and it's very "friendly."

I've never heard a woman say "Oh, I had this GREAT date with this new guy I met. Can you believe it, we went to a MOVIE!!! Oh wow, I jumped him right afterwards." :mamoru:

Yeah, you know her, but you'd be better off going to a museum, a park, the beach or a river (okay, not in winter but you know!), some trendy little bakery where you can get something sweet to eat and a coffee, or just something where you can interact. Me, I like upscale bars for a first date. You can have a drink, sit and talk, and have a great time. :)

i've always had success with watching a movie at home with the girl. that way you don't feel bad when you get "distracted", end up not watching half the movie and wasting $20 on tickets/popcorn/candy bullshit

Could be, but movies at home also says "I want to fuck you." Depending on the girl and the chemistry you have, it could be a good thing ... it could be a bad thing. It's VERY forward.

On the flip side, if you don't make a move, it's also very Friendzone....

AND you can rewind the movie and still be able to see it after you both get 'distracted' :mamoru:
