Completely wore through bearings in my old mixer so it constantly leaks. Apparently blenders are like $50 now which is batshit crazy, so I picked up a cheapo drink mixer (the icecream stand/milkshake type) and it fucking rocks. I can't blend with it, but for milk + muscle milk in a hurry it's awesome. I just rinse the cup and I'm done. No elaborate cleanup.

you could also get a $6 blender bottle....since all you are using it for is milk + powder...

What are you mixing that requires a blender? All a blender is good for is putting air into the product and making you fart.

Guess I'd rather just eat. I've used the old school shaker for years. If it can't be mixed in that, I don't need to eat/drink it.

After going through my 2nd 15 dollar wal-mart blender in under 5 months, i got the 50 dollar blender.

So worth it. Just get a decent blender man, you'll be glad you did. If you use it all the time (which you must to wear it out), whats and extra 20-30 bucks for a higher standard of living?

basically that only where it says chrome it should say plastic. $30 or so.

I may be the only one, but I despise the shakers. I can never find the center piece or the oring get's lost or they get left sitting around and turn into a science project. Worse yet you occasionally don't get the lid on right and you've got a protien explosion all over you :naughty:

This thing is awesome because you just run it with some water to clean the stirer stick and rinse out the glass. It also blends better than a shaker.

I'll eventually buy a nice blender for fruit/peanutbutter/ice action. It does make me :fart:

my original thought, BUT HOLD ON.

Gas is created by bacteria in your intestines breaking down food and producing....well gas.

Burps are created by excess air in your stomach. 1fast, correct me if i'm wrong. but it seems to me, your logic is flawed.

Could be, but I know lots of air in anything blows my stomach up with a bloating feeling. I don't use special shakers, I'm talking the OLD school ones. My shakers are over 4 years old, still work like a charm. Blenders are for people trying to make shit to exotic thinking it will make a difference. :big grin:

I had a shaker but it seemed infinitely easier to stir the protein with a spoon.

Im confused. I bought a blender for literally $15 at target. I mix my morning shakes in there with whey, pb, eggs, maybe oatmeal, and other shit. Ice included. Thing has lasted over 2 years so far. Why are you paying $30 for that?

Apparently I live in beverly hills or some shit because I went into target expecting to do exactly that and then all the decent blenders were $60.

Good blenders arent cheap. Spend the money now, and get one that will last. Stay away from plastic too. Glass is the only way to go.

I still can't understand why you waste your time with that, especially if you're just mixing and not "blending" milk and powder.
