I purchased a 1996 Ninja ZX6R with 8k miles for $2500. The bike is in pretty decent shape. A few cosmetic issues but nothing major. I'm having the fork seals and new rubber put in this week.

The bike was stored outside by the previous owner and there is a little rust and metal discoloration around the bike on various fastners, (muffler hanger, rear set, fairing support, etc.

I plan on removing the fairing this week to give the bike a thorough cleaning. What do you recommend regarding the metal? I do have a Dremel tool with various polishing attachments.
