Now I could throw on one for a car for cheap but I dont really feel like splicing and dicing everything.

Does anyone have anything to say about Scopio alarms or gorillas? I want plug and play, 2 way pager, and proximity and tilt. Right now Im seeing a i900 on ebay with comes with everything for 350. Anyone find anything better?

It's not gonna do much for you. They just have to throw your bike in a van, and cut the battery wires once it's in there.
You're probably better off investing in Lojack.

There is only one time that its out of my sight so I'm not worried about it getting stolen much. That one time is at the gym, but all I have to do is run over to the window.

Therefore i'm really more worried about people sitting on it.

a friend was in a bar looking out across main st and saw a pickup back up in front of a motorcycle. 4 guys got out, 2 grabbed bars from teh back of the truck. one bar under the front tree, one bar through the back spokes, all 4 guys picked up the bike and walked forward a few steps and put the bike in the back of the truck and drove away.

less than 1 min and they went from getting out of the truck to getting back in and leaving.

an alarm won't do much except tell you someone just stole your bike.

my friend called the cops and gave a description of the truck. my friend said the cops didn't sound surprised and kind of made it sound like a truck by that description had done this before. the cops weren't optimistic that his information would help.

As everyone else said, other than YOUR piece of mind, they don;t offer much protection other than a "don't sit on me" vibe.

That said, I put the i900 Scorpio on mine (got it on ebay with harness for my bike for $225 shipped. Install took 30 minutes or so.

Nice feature is that "don;t sit on me", but other than that its worthless.

The dont sit on me/dont touch me is what im going for. Cause insurance isnt gonna be worth if one of those bastards tip it over. But if they stole it, I hope i never see it again.
