which one is more
Hardware wise the droid
But if you jailbreak you cannot beat the library of MILLIONS of iphone apps and games for free...
iPhone but i am biased. i really do like the droids and i think they are very nice phones, i just don't see it topping the 3GS.
both have about the same app market, those huge numbers of apps droid or apple have are mostly trash and you will never use
uh no, not even close.
i think the Droid phones still have a bit of a ways to go. i held a fake one at a Best Buy (you know those demo units that feel the same, but don't actually power up or anything) and i can't say i'm fond of the build quality. plus, that 256Mb internal memory limit for apps is pretty rough. so, that $99 8Gb iPhone 3GS that is supposedly coming up soon is still better than the Droid... except the Droid is on Verizon instead of AT&T.
I love my Droid.
Droid is nice, the keyboard takes getting used to, but their weakness is media playback, no ones comes close to the iPod.
Apps? iPhone wins, not even close.
Battery life is even.
Both have amazing screens.
i just swapped from the jesus phone to a droid today. I got the HTC droid tho. I dig it a lot
wat? The sound quality through headphones is every bit as good as my 4th gen nano. I dont even carry my iPod with me to work anymore.
He's not saying sound quality, he's talking about the media player layout and interface.
I owned an iPhone since the 3G came out, and I've messed with my friend's 3GS many times. I ditched my iPhone for the Droid when it came out, and I couldn't be happier. There are obviously things that the iPhone does better, and Android 2.0 has a way to go since it's basically brand new. That said, there's so much potential in the Android platform and it's not strangled by Apple. After playing with my Droid, my buddy with the 3GS went and bought a Droid.
Before taking a simple poll, it would serve you well to find out whether people have even used both devices, or if their opinions are based nothing substantial.
While the iPhone has a decent screen, even trying to compare it to the Droid is laughable. Look at them side by side and even hardcore Apple fanboys would have a hard time legitimately arguing that the iPhone is anywhere near as nice as the Droid screen.
lol no, completely disagree.
I have a few hundred apps on my iphone, had to install an app manager named categories to bypass the 9 page limit.
If you jailbreak, the iphone app library makes it a far superior product. My friend has a droid, it's excellent hardware wise... he drools at my app collection though.
Love my G1
Ah, ya the UI is not very polished compared to the iPod but i dont find it hard to use so it doesnt negatively impact my media playing experience.
droid screen >
Nice, I evened it out at 26 each.
I love my Droid, only had it a week an I'm officially won over. Always wanted an iPhone but being with vzw put that out of the question. My last phone was storm
I hear the battery life on the Droid is absolute shit. Read through at least 50 reviews on Verizon's website and EVERY single one of them mention crappy battery life. Everyone else having that issue?
Android > Mobile OS X
Mine has been pretty decent, I will that a friend of mine is always looking for some place to plug in his iPhone..
iPhone = 480x320 Droid = 480x854 not even close...
I jumped from an iPhone to a Moto Droid. It's by far a more advanced phone and the app store, while not as broad as Apple's, has most of the same if not similar apps. Lots of useful utilities for customization and replacing the apps that the phone comes with for better ones. Something Apple doesn't allow.
