I have been lifting and doing cardio for about 2 months now. I have probably lost around 20 lbs. But it seems that i am losing my motivation. I was on a 5-day split (during break) but now, since school started up again, i have been lucky to get in 3. Religiously twice a week though. I am usually there for 1.5 hours, with 15-20 min of cardio (elipitical). I do a full body, and try to superset for the most part. I dont really have a routine, just jump from machine to machine, usually about 3 at a time in a circut. this used to take me about an hour or so to finish. but now i seem to be done earlier. i dont feel any soreness in my muscles the next day, so i have been increasing my cardio to more 20 min to counteract my quasi-laziness.

i am the kind of person who kinda sets a goal, and when i see some results, i kinda say, "meh, thats good enough". I am at my lowest weight since probably freshman in high school (210lbs about 6'3)

    any suggestions?

we do you need motivation to take care of yourself? it should just be something you do.
set a definate schedule that's doable and do it because its routine. dont give yourself a choice.

nobody is going to be able to tell you something that is going to change your motivation level. Best idea - get an actual routine so you can have specific, measurable goals and improvements. Don't just wander around and do whatever... go with a plan. Muscle soreness doesn't matter.

dude. nobody's going to pamper you around here and tell you how you should stay and omg please don't leave

you need to be in this for yourself. if you need someone to push you just to get your ass in the gym, i don't know what to tell you.

that being said, get off your fucking ass, load some weight, and for christ sakes, break a sweat
    be a man
    lift something heavy

if youre doing full body workout 5 times a week or even 3 times a week you're overworking yourself but from the sound of things you arent lifting hard enough

if you fucking busted your ass for 45 mins twice a week that should be more than enough

    :ugh:

if you train a body part 3 times a week you reduce the volume per workout

    1. Take sand out of vagina
    2. Get an actual routine. 3x a week is more than enough. Look at Chris's routine.
    3. Grow some balls.

 Whether you think ceaze is a dickhead or not, if that doesn't motivate you to get off your ass, then nothing will. Like he said, if you can't motivate yourself, just quit.

what pisses me off is guys with really good genetics that get lazy and quit working out. If i could have bad ass genetics I would be crazy looking. oh well.

I respect guys who are in the gym with bad genetics more than those who don't use the gym with good genetics.

Unless you have some severely crippling disorder, genetics is no excuse. Then again, Maestro Nobones works out (successfully at that), so that excuse doesn't work around here.

I agree. My genetics are such that its basically hard to tell I even work out even though I'm way stronger than a lot of guys in the gym who look like they workout but clearly have no idea what they're doing. Its sad.
