I am trying to keep an eye on how hot or cold my system is running so I decided to download MBM5 so I don't have to go into my BIOS everytime to look at my Temps, Volts, and RPM.

Anyway in my BIOS it says my CPU Temp is about 37 degrees Celsius, but MBM5 says my CPU is at 127 degrees Celsius!

    Is that even fucking possible?!?

you sure MBM isn't reporting degrees farenheight? Because that'd be 52, which is high, but reasonable.

BTW, MBM was discontinued, wasn't it?

No, it's reporting Celsius...but I think it isn't reading correctly, I turned my PC off for about an hour and check my BIOS which reported about 32 degrees Celsius and MBM is reporting 127 degrees Celsius again.

    well, what mobo?

And MBM was discontinued... use something that's still being supported/worked-on.

    speedfan should work.

I thought it would be a recent mobo... MBM development stopped some time ago, and it doesn't work with new stuff.

Ok, I uninstalled MBM and I am using Speedfan now, everything seems good except Temp 2 which is reading 128C, what could that be?

not all probes are used... unused probes can return 0 degrees, or impossible temps such as super-high, or negative numbers.

That's what I was thinking, it isn't possible for a fresh boot temp to return ~260F right?

Should I just ignore that reading?

within 10 degrees of room temp for a normal 7200RPM drive.
