Wow, pretty surprised the bun didn't mold after an entire year.

I would hope not. I'd have to imagine 1 year old beef in the fridge would skunk up all the other food.

Thats funny. I just read an article that says its the pesticides and preservatives in foods that mess with peoples hormone levels that are a huge factor in obesity, not just calorie content.

Eh, I did this many a year ago when I left my fries in my buddies trunk one year in a crevice. A year later I was taking out my camping gear and found it, perfectly preserved. The paper bag had degraded though after the heat of the summer in the trunk.

What's the deal with soybean oil? After looking it up on wiki it says it's pretty healthy for you, but then I see it listed all the time in shitty foods.

+1 on that. genes, hormones, etc are all a synonym for lack of discipline (this is coming from a former fatty)

soy and corn are government subsidized, so they're cheap. they're so heavily subsidized that when companies make peanut butter, they drain of the peanut oil (sell it to deep fryers, etc) and replace it with soybean oil, since it's more profitable
