I went through 9 pages of different 9mm on cheaperthandirt.com and every single page was nothing but "out of stock"

    It's ridiculous.

I've always kept a certain amount stockpiled, usually right around 1,000 rounds. That's where I'm at right now and I don't want to shoot any of it because of this. The 10/22 and P22 have been getting all of the range time. :hs:

My Wal-Mart seems to have WWB 9mm every other time I'm in. I think it's like $20 for 100.

I'd pay that, but I can't find it. I'm on early shift too, so I can't even catch it in the mornings.

700-800 and you want more? Stop hoarding ammo.

I got the last 800 rounds from my Walmart, 3 months ago. They haven't gotten any more in since. It's fucked up.

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (Itstinks: Opera/9.60 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13221/724; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)

I'm sitting at 600 rounds, and I'm getting distraught about the distinct possibility that that number won't be rising soon. :hs:

They never have that deal here, it's always the 50 packs of WWB (If they even have that)

Nothing else is much better. I find myself sitting on MidwayUSA's website refreshing the primers page constantly on the morning of their "estimated in stock" day. :wtc:

generally oddball rifle caliber here but we have a pretty tight knit local group so when someone sees ammo at a store (in popular calibers) they post it up on the local forum.

At the local Cabelas the only stuff that is readily in stock is $1+/rd rifle hunting ammo, 5.7x28, and offbrand hollowpoint handgun ammo.

.22LR, and well that's about it. Very frustrating. :(

Do you have any 9MM? NO

Do you have any .45ACP? NO

Do you have any 00Buck? NO

I've made it a habit of, when I have some disgressionary funds to spend, I call the few local walmarts within a 15 minute drive and ask. No point in wasting the time to drive/walk in/walk out when you can find out on teh phone if they have it and possibly sweet talk them into holding it for you.

I'll have to do this next time. I only check when we are already there for something else. I'm not a hoarder, I just want a couple hundred rounds on hand you know?

Went to the fun show yesterday and theyy were charging $32 for a box of 50 WWB and that was the cheapest I found.

Not a single wal-mart, dicks, cabellas, academy or local has any 9mm in stock. I got 250 rounds and 2 full mags for my Glock and I got no plans to hit the range any time soon.

I hear ya. Still doesn't hurt to call ahead so you don't waste a trip.

Also, I don't know if being a hoarder is a bad thing at this point. Hell, everyone else is doing it, the shit ain't getting any cheaper or any more readily available. If everyone else is buying the fucking shit up, why shouldn't you be too?

If I could afford to hoard ammo I probably would. I can't and you are right.

I hope this whole thing dies down soon. I'd like to be able to go to the range weekly. It's about $100 for my wife and I to go. :wtc:
