I saw some dumbass "deadlifting" today. He was in the squat rack and had the barbell resting across those safety bars or whatever they are called. I counted twelve plates on the bar, so about six hundred pounds. He would reach down and lift the bar about three or four inches and scream while his partner counted to ten loudly and then he'd drop the weight. It didn't look like he was supporting the weight with his shoulder or back musculature, he just let it hang there ripping the fuck out of his tendons. What an ass. I don't normally pay attention to what everyone else is doing at the gym but we only have one power rack and it's mega irritating when someone ass is wasting the space while I'm waiting to squat.
