Ok I am away from home for a while on an internship and I am trying to clear up a few gun problems and find some parts.

So my problem with my 91/30 is that when it is cold and fresh on the range the bolt cycles fine, but as it fires a bit the bolt gets stiffer and stiffer until it is almost impossible to open without getting rather forceful with it. The problem seems to somewhere at the front of the bolt where comes in contact with the receiver.

Anyone ever have this problem or an idea?

    Try greasing the lugs? :dunno:

Plus, it IS a mosin, so if the bolt isn't a little stiff, something is wrong.

My M91/30 does this when it's very dirty.

My M44 has always been smooth as butter. :dunno:
