While I resptect hunting and hunters as it is a very useful and worth wild skill I just never could get into it. To me it's hiking all over creation and maybe getting to take one shot. I guess i'm wired to be a shooter and not a hunter.

I'm know people love hunting and think it's some fun shit. I see them at the shot show watching hunting vids on the big screen and to them it might as well be half naked jailbail chick fights they are glued to the screen.

I had some hunter guy explain to me it's more about the hunt then the shooting. At worst you get to take a hike in nature with your gun. I said fuck that I'm not trying to take romatic strolls with my gun I want to rock and roll.

I must clarify that shooting varmits is something else and I don't consider it hunting. That is turning stupid fur balls into red mist. Dove hunting is kind of fun too.

To me this is shooting exploding targets or the original moving targets and is relevant to my definition of fun shit.

Do you get to go varmint hunting using a call? Daylight or dark?

To me one of the best hunting experiences there is would be calling at night and having a bobcat or coyote coming to your call and then making the shot.

:werd: Plus it's crazy as fuck sitting out in the woods in the dark and blasting a rabbit distress call. Kinda creepy.

Well it's one of those things. Sitting in the dark waiting for something to shoot at. I rather shoot a night match where I know I'm going to get 150 shots off and get some flashlight work in.

Most of the time animals don't piss me off enough to make me want to work to kill them, drag their ass back out, then take it to the locker plant, then pay the man there...

Don't have a single problem with hunting, I just haven't been pissed at them enough to get up that early and go through that much effort to get some food.

I bow hunt and the rush you feel when you first spot an animal and are working to get the shot is unreal. For me, being in the woods in fall is the best way I could possibly spend it. The meat is nice, but I would still hunt even if I had to give the meat away.

Honestly I enjoy both. The stalk that goes along with a bow hunt. Shooting a deer at 10 yards is an amazing feeling.

Then again shooting a hog at 600 yards is also very nice
