Things aren't going too well for me right now so I'm kind of in the mood for something that will lift my spirits. Any recommendations?

    So far I got:
Stereophonics - Have a nice day
The Beatles - Let it be, Here comes the sun
    U2 - Beautiful day
    Modest Mouse - Float on

    :wiggle:

get music software like reason, and make your own music. nothing will lift your spirits higher than your own work.

Hey Pooper - I also really suggest a lot of stand up comedy and funny movies in terms of heart break. Pink's song So What is also a GREAT break up song, esp. if your a chick, but it still may help :)

yeah. these are awesome. it's funny b/c I've been listening to adagio for strings often recently

  19. Both of these song are from the 2007 album, Black Fingernails Red Wine.

  20. "Feelins healing," "Porkchop," and "Tired eyes" are great feel good music, and it is excellent old-time soul like the group, War, and almost as good as them, especially Porkchop. They are from the 2003 album, The One Is the Three, by Natural Afrodisiac.

Some of the lyrics from Porkchop:

    Gots me on the down
    Gettin into the sound
    I'm havin a good time
    Burnin up the stash
    Later friends feelin no gaps
    I bet you're having a good time

I may have some of those lyrics wrong 'cause I just transcribed them while listening to the song.

I've suffered from depression for many years, and I always used to feel better after a long ten-hour drive, lots of loud classic hard rock, and lots of coffee. :mamoru:

  21. REM was a good suggestion. ;)

That song by Parliament was very special to me when I was a kid.

Trombipulation by them would be very uplifting. lol

  25. Collective Soul is a good dependable work horse and starting point for lots of rock to follow. Alice in Chains is very good once in awhile as a starting point.
