I have the 18-200 VR, and i was debating renting the 70-200 2.8, im not sure if i would need the difference in aperature, depending on the light conditions, any opinions from the experts on this situation?

I would suggest the 70-200 off the bat for sure.

@ 200 mm you're looking at a difference of 2 stops. If you're indoors with the 18-200, at 200mm it's a 5.6 aperture so if your settings require a 1/125 shutter speed, the 70-200 @ 2.8 would allow you to shoot at 1/500 instead. This could be the difference between stopping the action versus a blurred shot.
