I run a car forum with around 150K pageviews a day and around 11.5K uniques daily... a local company (similar to CostCo) wants to pay me a monthly fee for a banner on the site. Is there a standard for pricing this kind of stuff? :dunno:

They also asked me if I could email all my users (around 31K) with an ad for some new product they're offering... how much could I charge for this? :mamoru: Should I do it? I think I could email them without them knowing it was me ::wavey:

i sell advertising for a major news pub in the US. typically you see CPM's of $5-7 for high quality news content, so I assume you could price it at about half that. If you have 150k pv a day with one ad position, you could theoretically price it at around $450 per day. If you multiple that by a 30 day month its $13,500. Give them a deal at $6,000 and call it a day.
