what are the symptoms and how soon do they appear? also, how long does it stay contagious after a person doesnt feel sick anymore.

I ask because before a dance about 2 weeks ago, this girl who had mono about 2 months drank from a water bottle full of alcohol, just like 1 sip, and the rest of the group also drank from it.

i feel fine, but im just curious :X

Mono is transferred through saliva. So drinking after someone who has it will definitely get you infected.

And it can last for months sometimes. Believe me, I know... :wtc:

So the doctors told you you had mono?

And no it won't "definitely" get you infected. Especially when it is booze, alcohol kills germs/bateria

  8. You have a slight risk of being infected, but I would wait till I see how things turn out, you may have it, you may not, it's too early to tell now.

i had mono about 2 years ago. i experienced extreme fatigued, and i guess it brought my immune system down too cus i got a bad case of strepp throat on top of it. it lasted only a month cus it was during the summer and i got a LOT of rest and drank a ton of water, but i've heard of it lasting up to like 3 months. i didn't see a doctor until my strepp got bad which was after 3 weeks and he told me i had mono :ugh: he prescribed me some ibuprofen and the pain was gone in 3 hours--drugs are magic!

i would watch for the extreme fatigue thou. could be a sign.

Nope. I thought I did because the symptoms seemed to match up, but I guess I jumped the gun. I just got my results back and the test was negative. I don't have mono. :noes:

So I got an appointment for tomorrow at a clinic for them to check me out. I guess they'll try sticking one of those instruments down my throat to figure out what the fuck is going on. I'm SICK of this shit. It's been almost 3 months since I could eat right. :wtc:
