Does anyone know a good way to set up a monitor? I have a feeling mine is too dark or too contrasted. Whats a good background to use while fiddling around with it? At the moment I cant tell how screwed up it is.

cleartype just blurs text. it was supposed to make text more readable on LCDs, but I've got an LCD and let me tell you that with DVI, it's crystal clear without cleartype -- and cleartype simply blurs it.

but cleartype has absolutely nothing to do with being too dark or contrasted...

it worked on fine tuning my lcd :wavey:

I wasn't sure if he had an lcd or crt which is why I suggest both cleartype and his videocards provided software

but again, cleartype does NOTHING for adjusting the brightness/contrast -- which is what he complained about!
