This happens on most people's systems, on other's it doesn't and I want to know why and how. Say you're watching an episode on a website such as BBC iPlayer (or any similar site). The video is normally ebedded as Adobe Flash and you're watching it in full screen. Your monitor is set to go dim after x minutes. On some people's systems the monitor will go dim to save power (the control panel > Power settings). One other's, the system just ignores the power setting and lets you watch the video without this interuption, as if it knows you're watching/doing something. Any way to let the system know not to dim the monitor while a Flash-based video is being played without changing power settings? Can't the PC just know I'm "using" it? Browser: IE8 Flash: version 10 (latest one).
