Ok guys, here's the deal. I have an older Spyder 2 monitor calibration device. I no longer use it as it will only calibrate a single monitor so I now use one that calibrate my dual setup.

However, its a great little basic system to get your monitor as close as possible to being right as you can. It will work with both Mac and PC and will work with LCDs or CRTs.

My offer is this for OT and everyone has to agree to these terms.

I'll send it to anyone that wants to use it for free, just send me a few bucks to cover shipping and its yours. You calibrate your device, or as many as you want, then you must pass along the same deal to the forum and ship to someone else for shipping costs only.

Many people do not want to shell out for a system, but its one of the first things that any good photographer should have to make sure their photos will look right to others. So I think this will be a great way for those to get a calibrated monitor for very cheap and a way to share the wealth with the forum.

If you guys like the idea and are willing to participate and pass it around, I'm willing to send it out to whoever wants it. It will come in the box with directions, software and hardware. You can just keep the shipping material and reuse it for the next person. Also, please do things in a timely manner and not keep it for weeks on end so that we can get the thing to as many folks as can use it.

Just make responses in this thread so that we know who its going to and when. We can then make paypal and shipping arrangements via PM as we move down the list.

    Let it begin if interested.

    Order of those interested:

I'm in! I really need to calibrate my screens. One has a blue hue, the other has a green/yellow hue, and my photos are sooooo off :wtc:

Ok guys, lets figure out how you want to do it. Since all will just be passing along the cost of shipping, we can do it in any order, just start in the order of response here, or if someone suggested, do it by area if enough want to do that.

Make suggestions and lets figure it out. As the initiator, I dont care where I send it off to, I just want to make sure the love continues for all that might need it and it will help some folks out rather than just sitting dormant in my apartment.

    yup, 2nd USPS flat rate.

we should just update the first post with a list of names who want it. and then the person who has it should be in touch with the person below them on the list to get all of their shipping information.
