I going to buy a 22" WS Samsung to replace my 22" WS Acer, but buy.com has the 24" WS Samsung (245bw) for $491 shipped, after 5% off & $20 rebate.
Is the 24" WS worth the extra $200ish than the 22"" WS??

Two full web pages vs. not quite two full web pages.

I have a 22" Samsung that I literally watched for less than 10 minutes before deciding
    that I wanted a 24". So I bought a 2407 Dell.
    For me it's worth it.

plus if you ever get into high def video, 1080p is 1920x1080, which the 24 will support, the 22 will have to squish because it only supports 1680x1050.

I was reading that Samsung used the TN panel for this 24, compared to the other better panels Dell used. I think I'll buy a 24 now, but just need comments on brands. Damn Dell doesn't take discounts for EPP on monitors.

dell panels suck. They start almost all their models with an okay panel at a normal price and get good reviews, then they swap out for a shittier panel and lower the price so everyone sackrides them but they get shitty parts.

Do it right and just get a Samsung off the bat

Dell uses the Samsung S-PVA panel on their 24" model. There hasn't been any reports of them playing panel switcheroo games with the 24". If Samsung is using TN in their latest model, I would avoid that and get the Dell.
