    Thank you Coma~
I didn't set it up, I just snapped the photo while he was having a drink of one of my Cosmos. I really wanted to get a shot of him with his wings fully open, but wasn't to be with this set. I keep an eye out for him when I'm outside, he loves to nosey around while I'm out there. Yesterday when I took this, I thought for sure he was going to land on my shoulder, that's how close he fluttered by.

    Beautiful creatures these. :)

i like monarchs cause they are one of the easiest butterflies to photog. they sit there and don't beat their wings much at all.

some of my random monarch shots
