academy has some blue box monarch 223 & 308 for pretty cheap ($5 & $7 for 20rd, respectively)

i'm sure it doesnt quite shoot worth a shit but does anyone have any experience with it? is it worth buying a few boxes to plink with and to break in my 308 with? i'm going to sight it in with corelokt since thats what ill be hunting with but i'd rather break it in with something cheaper if that won't cause any issues...

i plan on buying a k of wolf 223 & 308 for plinking once cabelas opens up.

I've shot about 250 rounds of Monarch through my Glock, everything seems fine to me, good enough to qualify with a 250 for my CCW.

:werd: on the .308 wolf. I haven't heard anything but shit about it. The .223 seems to be decent for plinking, but .308 seems to be a third rail for guns.

surplus is the cheapest for "plinking" not sure there is a real plinking ammo with what .308 costs...

7.62x39 wolf is perfect, it's all I plan on running through my AK. Wolf 7.62x51 is the stuff that tends to KB.

Monarch didn't agree with my AR at all. Lots of FTFs and FTEs. I had one where the firing pin pierced the primer and completely fucked up my day at the range.

    No more monarch for me.
