Just got a part in from Germany... gives me the option to turn my compact P99 into more of a full size P99. Having a gun that can grow or shrink depending on what you need is great.

Punk kids today are spoiled. Back in the day we didn't have fru-fru pre-made ribbed for your comfort magazine adapters from Walther, we either went without or made our own out of silicone molds and fiberglass w/ resin.

hey now... I had to go as far as to order it from germany... that takes real dedication and effort in todays world of internet access anywhere and everywhere.

It actually took me at least 10 minutes of effort

on that note, P99c crew ftw

Since the official walther ones came out I've gotten 2 mailed over from claus too :big grin:

I still feel urges sometimes to chop a fullsize p99 grip to make a long slide p99c....

Claus ftw... I bought this mag extension less than a week ago... liked it so much(and because I have 3 full size mags on the way) I ordered 2 more from him last night.

a full size P99c would be an interesting looking gun. I wonder how hard that would actually be to do.

    quick photoshop job:

If you are buying a pinky extender, you need to buy the next size up pistol.

Doesn't training teach you to be less rigid with your application of "rules" especially to other people?

which is why I bought a Glock 22 when I was originally looking at a Glock 23...

pinky extender gives you the grip size of a full magazine but easier to conceal.

the only diff in concealment between a Glock 23 and 22 is the length of the grip... The barrel is less than 1/2" difference and conceals fine... It's the print of the grip that makes it harder to conceal.

correct, barrel length isn't the issue when it comes to printing, it's the grip, and more commonly, the back corner of the grip.
I gave up my XDSC when we modified my XD service to take the SC mags. 4" barrel with less grip made it a great CCW weapon.

It's also the claimed reason for the 1911 bobtail design like Ed Brown's guns.

or I'm buying it because I like having different options...

I actually like the feel of the medium set up best(which is how it comes from the factory). I bought the extensions to have the option of a full size grip, and because it's more comfortable for my gf to shoot with.

It all comes down to having a tool that fits a variety of situations instead of being locked into one.

That's not true at all. Once you put that pinky extender on there, you basically have the profile of the larger gun without the magazine capacity. If you get one that DOES have the magazine capacity, you DEFINITELY should've bought a larger pistol.

in my case, the compact holds 10 rounds already, and it's illegal in cali to have something larger, so while the extension would allow me to hold 16 rounds... I can't use those magazines :(

and the profile is a bit different here between the fullsize and the pinky extension.

In your case, you need to move the fuck out of California. Then buy the fullsize.
