I've been doing the Christopher Routine a.k.a modified Bill Star routine for 4 weeks now but have noticed little gain in mass. My numbers have gone up but no difference in size. My main goal is to put on some mass but was wondering if i should shut up and stick with it or if theres an alternative. Have any of you brolys had much success with the program?

putting on mass is 90% a result of diet, not routine.

I would also give it more than 4 weeks, don't be so quick to change routines, stick with one for a few months before you decide if it works for you or not.

Ive noticed gains in muscle on my overall frame rather than in specific spots like tris/bis/shoulders :dunno:

altho my overall goal is to mass up i want the strength to come with it, which is why i picked this routine to build a strong base

7 weeks in this routine, put on about 6 lbs of weight so not too much mass, all my lifts went up though, around + 30.

I honestly cant understand how anyone with little to no experience can do this and NOT put on tons of mass without eating like a somolian. I've been on it more or less for about 5 months now (with variations every 2-3 weeks) and have put on 50lbs (though admittedly with a bit more fat than I would like). DL and squat went up over 100lbs each since I started, and Bench went up ~70lbs.

Honestly, just fucking eat. When you are full, go eat some more. Later, have a snack. When you are new to this, putting on mass is just a matter of lifting heavy and stuffing your face with tons of cals and protein.

5x5 programs are a compromise. Your strength and muscle mass will increase but less so than they would on a strength or mass specific program. It also happens to be the one routine that will prove effective for most people but maybe not necessarily the most effective for some individuals.

Good routine to build strength. Im quitting this routine starting today for a harder routine. Its the summer and this was my plan all along. I reccomend this to anyone who cant workout everday and can only do 3 times a week. This may not build the most mass but your strength will def. increase.
