I need some suggestions. My bedroom is huge (28x15 est) and I'm not sure where to even start. What would you do?

The room is a tad messy in the pic. The bed was designed and handbuilt by me.

The table and chairs in the first pic are patio furniture I had inside because of the cold weather. They were of more use to me inside...There's a 10x6 balcony off the bedroom. Pic of view.

Walk-in closet in the bed room. 2 car garage, room underneath the bottom flight of stairs, 5 sq ft closet out side of the bedroom balcony, and the living room balcony underneath it for storage in the rest of the place.

    Total sq ft 2300

lose the ceiling fan if you don't absolutely need it. it looks like it was just haphazardly placed there. also, those canister lights are dated as fuck. I know you can't go recessed, but some more modern low-voltage halogen track lighting would do wonders, but make sure you consider the placement carefully.

The bed's not bad, but you're not staging it well. The accompanying furniture is crap and so is that table/chairs set you've got. You've got the opportunity to do something special with that bed and really use it to make a statement. painting the wall behind it and doing a cool headboard would do the trick.

You also need to do something about those blinds because they look like shit. Look into some window treatments plz :hs:

If you had the budget, I would do something with the spaces between the beams on the ceiling. paint them white or hang drywall. it just looks so vacuous all dark like that.

  14. amazing room. is it a duplex or something, or an entire house?

i personally like the ceilings, but other than that i agree with cedric.

id look into a nicer tabe setup and something to put ur computer on... let me see wat i can find...

I'm renting for now, haven't bought the place yet...so I can't do anything too substantial. And after a recent layoff, money is super tight :hs:. The ceiling fan is needed, but I think a black one would work a lot better. Those blinds are original (1975) and are custom, so replacing them is OMFExpensive. I need to paint the border of the bed black, just haven't gotten around to it, also adding an aluminum trim around the edges of the currently unpainted parts.

Like I said, the table/chairs are patio furniture and will go back outside when it warms up a bit. I like the dark ceiling, but I did think about hanging drywall squares at staggered heights just to change it up a bit...

:love: For the input though...You were the main perso I hoped saw the thread...

    It's a townhouse, actually. :hs:
