im thinking about getting a mobius strip around my ankle as part of a larger religious design and was wondering what the general feeling about mobius strip tattoos.

now i know, i should do what i want and not worry about what other people think, and i prolly will, but i want to know how it will be looked at.

also, are there any good tattoo artist/places in phoenix?

I searched for it...on BME...it's listed under the "Geek tattoos". I like the idea though.

the mobius strip is the infinity sign right? A friend of mine has one on the inside of his wrist....its pretty cool and its in flesh tones so its not super noticable at first glance.

    If you like it...get it.
Odds are you will never run into any other person with it.

The mobius strip isn't just an infinity sign, its a one sided surface with only one edge, kind of a unique mathematical object.

I say go ahead and get it if its what you want. Its not as though they're the new kanji/katakana replacement :big grin:

I dont think anyone would look at the tattoo in any negative way. I've know some people with similar tattoos, but didn't ask about them. I just looked cool. After reading a little about it, it makes a lot of sense. (>~<)
