For those folks that have their own web-server (though I admit under-used on my part), what are the benifits of MobileMe? Can anyone here explain the perks of it beyond a "cloud" storage for stuff that you can access from your iPhone/iPad/MBA/MBP, etc

What are some advantages of it??

Use google instead now that they have OTA syncing of contacts and calendars

I use it for syncing. It's a lot more smooth than google sync.

If you have an iPhone or multiple computers it is awesome for syncing, but that's only assuming you use Mail, iCal and Address book heavily.

I don't find it as smooth as MobileMe. I also have an exchange account on my iPhone already, so I can't use google sync.

it's the mail part that I'm having problems with.

I might need to stop by Apple and ask them to help my understanding of how best to organize, send and receive e-mails.

My own domain name is great and I don't want to give it up!
