Explain and enlighten me.
After 23 days of my 60 day free trial I have 97 days left...
worth it to me bc I have two mac computers and an iphone
if I didn't have all of the above i wouldn't use it
its nice for keeping my contacts, calendars, and stuff synced across them all
yes there are other ways to do it, but its just not as convenient as mobileme.
Keeps my iMac, iBook, iPhone and Dell in sync with each other.
I don't use iDisk all too much since I have other options (FTP and Dropbox) but it's handy sometimes.
I also forward my gmail emails to mobile me, so I get everything pushed straight to my phone
dropbox > idisk
I have Entourage (for work) sync its calendar to ical, then have Things sync my todos to the Entourage generated ical calendar, which then syncs back to Entourage. Then all of the above get synced to my iphone.
I use dropbox to sync small files, but I use the iDisk for larger files (usually just start the upload and leave home/work, only to find it done when I get where I'm going.
I wish it wouldnt fuck up my preferences and keychains when they sync between macs though.
yeah I've heard some things about it not working as advertised, especially with publishing things to mobile me, and email push
Love it for keeping everything sync'd between all my Macs and my iPhone.
I'm loving it too. have 2 macs and iPhone. I've had it since July, my trial expires Dec 9, 2008.
If you're gonna get it, buy it from Amazon, it's cheaper than buying from Apple directly
I use it with iWeb as well. Sure I could host it somewhere else, but I'm not interested in making my website publishing any more complex.
I love it. It works great, and the web apps are amazing. I like the iDisk better than drop box only because it's 20gb rather than 2gb, but both are balls slow when transferring. I'm using MobileMe with my MBP, iPhone, and ThinkPad. Great service and well worth it
Using mobile me when you need to pick up e-mails from another computer sucks pretty hard. It's gotta be the worst e-mail program around.
my me.com works flawlessly.
Then maybe it's my lousy Dell laptop, but it seems that me.com is the only site/program that sucks wind when I try doing anything on it. Even forwarding an email can become a huge hassle.
I love Mobile Me.
