I used to think you were a pretty cool guy. I just hate you now.

One of these days I'll just do it, as I've suggested so many times to others.

I gave in and bought the macbook today. I'll wait for the D800 with HD video :noes:

Congrats though, and I'm really looking forward to seeing some shots.

Doubt I'd use video on it... but www.nikonrumors.com is saying the D3x and a 80-400 f/2.8 are supposed to be announced next week. 24.4MP on the D3x, not too much (when I read it) on the lens.

maybe later... if I buy that, I'm eventually going to want the 12-24. So, why not just wait? Plus, the 10-20 and the 70-200 are now reserved for the D300. :)

But how big would it be? I can't imagine that would be too practical to use honestly. Look at the 100-400, now imagine that at f2.8... Would be huge I'd think.

    Welcome

I remember boosting mine up and shooting downtown at 3200-4000 all night with my 85 1.8 when I first got it...you couldn't get the grin off my face.

If nikon comes out with a 80-400 2.8, I'll sell my
    camera equipment right now.

(assuming it's under 4k and is somewhat hand holdable.)

physics wont allow it to be somewhat hand holdable.

im hoping for under a 5k price tag and a little heavier than my 400 2.8 verII

awesome now take that D300, place it back in the box and send it to me.

    Thanks,
    Merry Christmas to you too.

Example of how low of light you can use 6400 w/ vs a picture shot on a dx @ same settings.... and again with a lower iso to get a feel for how unlit shit is.

(sorry sort of cracked out hope this is english when I wake up)
