I can supposedly get a Raider for 5k less than a Tacoma. I haven't done any research into this less. Lets assume for argument's sake that I can put 10k down on either.

I don't have anything to tow, nor do I see that in the future.

I was gonna buy a Tacoma, but needed just a little more room, so I ended up with a full size F150 Screw for about the same price

The only competition that even comes close to the Tacoma is the new Frontier

dude. I did the SAME shit. except I didn't have the smarts to do what you did. I went with the fronty because all the little extras and I figured I'd get better gas. Nope. f-150 beats teh shit out of my frontier in gas and it's bigger. my truck will smoke an f150 but that's not really what I needed.

I tell ya, it's close. But in the end Toyota > Nissan in trucks. And I still like my truck.

My truck is slow (again didnt buy it to race), I am only pushing about 250HP, but the supercrew is awesome for my family vehicle, I have a blackmax soft bedcover that so far is virtually watertight, I have a cargo bar and I can put the stroller nad diaper bags in the back, or a load of grocerys in the back, or I can go to Lowes, take off the bedcover and put a big box in the back.. the Backseat of the Tacoma was just a tad too small, so the extra room of the SUpercrew for my tall long legged childen is a must.. my daughter is 4 and pushing almost 4' tall.
My last fillup I am pushing nearly 14mpg around town with the cover on it.

that millage seems bad? You can never tell though. I'm convinced 95% of people don't know how to check millage. Even if they seem to know, they don't. I get 15. If there's a lot of fires I get 12. I'm contemplating a camper top. I dont' really like them, but it would be good for the dogs.

5500lb curb weight, full 4 door and 19' long.. I think 14mpg is pretty dang good, I was getting 11 when I bought it

Pic right after I put the cover on it
