Alright, so this time I am gearing up to enter a competition later this year (not for looks or iron) and I need to get my general fitness and strength up. So I have started training 4 hours a week on top of my normal exercise routine.
Should have measurements later this week and then every 6 weeks.

The main area I want to really work on is between my knees and my hips :squint: Stubborn fuckers! I have a before shot, but won't show it until I have something decent to replace it with :mamoru:

I am very visual so unless I keep a track in photos I can't tell the progress.

Plus I now have a weight bench so I need to come up with a routine.

    wow looking good!

this is gonna sound real homo so im calling no homo right now, but what did you use for your stretchmarks near your waist? they're almost competely blended in and i didn't even notice them at first..ive been starting to get some red/pinkish ones near my shoulder/bicep area and im desperately trying to get rid of them, so far im trying bio oil and palmers cocoa butter for stretchmarks alternating...

btw keep up the good work and good luck with your knees and hips progress :)

They are 9 years old now and I gave up putting anything on them. Over the years I tried palmers cocoa butter but found no difference.

I use bio oil on other parts of the body and sometimes put the excess on my hips, but I just came to accept them and over the years they have faded. They won't fade any more though.

You can barely even see them so don't worry about it

i see..i guess mine will just fade over time as well. shirt part is i keep bulking up and lifting really intense for a month (which causes rapid muscle growth) then i must just stop suddenly for a month so the muscles decrease which causes them to appear...hell, i can see them getting longer and nastier from every workout, its getting to the point where i don't want to lift. Oh well

Zinc is good for skin. I started taking zinc while pregnant to stop more stretch marks but stopped as too much zinc for baby is bad. Maybe take some zinc supplements?

Thanks, will look into it :bigthumb:

So you're mainly trying to just get more fit and work extra on the hip area, and are entering a competition pretty soon? That's awesome

Oh wait, between knees and hips? So like, thigs?

Tonight did an hour of weights and cardio.
Mainly focusing on arms and upper thighs.

My arse and thighs are not pretty. My husband claims they are, but he lies. I want to firm them up. Strangely enough from the front my thighs are well defined and tight. It's just the back area that is the problem.
I also need to regain my strength because I stopped working out over christmas and lots a lot of it.
Comp isn't to do with body building or sculpting or anything like that.
I am aiming to do an Amateur Pole Dancing competition. Not stripping, pole dancing. But yeah, need lots of strength and a strong core.

Did an hour and a half of strength and stretch training. Mostly pulling my own dead weight up.
My back hurts :( But I know it's going to make it look awesome. Plus I can feel my arm strength returning and pulling myself up is a lot easier than last week.

Did around 2 and a half hours last night.
First hour was basically technique and tricks - mostly strength using own weight and flexibility.
Second hour was a circuit set up, runs, v sits, push ups, squats etc full stop.
And half an hour of stretching.

Over the last week or two have been doing at least three reps on the weight bench each night.

Last night did two hours - including CrossFit Kelly - I hurt :(

Did an hour of strength stuff on yesterday afternoon. Learnt a few new tricks. Need to learn to pull into them though, and not jump.

Tonight did an hour and a half of tricks followed by 60 squats in 60 seconds. If we didn't complete them in the next 60 seconds we did the remainder but in pushups. then repeat. So 4 rounds all up.

    I failed :(

Been doing minimum 4 hours a week. Had a few injuries lately so haven't been able to go as hard.

Need my husband's help to take updated photos. This is all I have at the moment

Your arms are looking pretty. :) Nice work. Are you working with a trainer or in a group class of some sort? You mentioned "we" in a previous post.

I work out in a group of about 7 or 10 women. We are all doing competition training. Half work out is pole tricks and the other half is conditioning (crossfit) stuff.
